I'm fundraising for Ethan
Hi friends, family and generous souls,
On Sunday 3rd April, our family will be participating in the Run2Cure charity fun run in memory of Ethan Paterson. The four of us will be tackling the 10km course as a family.
Ethan sadly lost his battle with Neuroblastoma on the 18th February this year after 12 months of fighting like the little warrior that he was.
Having observed the way this incredibly rare and little understood cancer took hold on Ethan and his family we feel that this is a very small thing we can do to help raise much needed funds to continue to drive the research forward and make sure that Ethan’s death is not in vain.
Some stats for you to ponder before we ask you to support:
· There is a 1 in 2 survival rate
· Each tranche of treatment costs upwards of $125,000
· This is a cancer that targets kids under 2 years old with only 40 cases diagnosed per year
· The key to the cure lies in funding the research
We are asking you to support us and the Run2Cure event by donating as much or as little as you can. The Paterson family has specifically requested support on this in lieu of flowers, cards or any other memorial gift in the hope that all contributions can ‘help make a difference by ending this cruel cancer’.
So, please consider this and give what you can to help by donating here.
